BMA to spread holiday cheer to 20,000 during IBEW 47 event

by | Feb 1, 2023

Coming off a successful event just a few months ago, the leaders of IBEW Local 47 have decided to retain the services of BMA Media’s Events Team to handle all aspects of their annual Holiday Family Day celebration this December.

While having nearly 10 months to prepare may seem like plenty of time, work must start immediately because roughly 20,000 union outside linemen from across Southern California and their family members are expected to attend.

Finding a venue to accommodate such a crowd, developing the event’s theme, and then determining other details related to the food and entertainment that will be provided during the day-long event are some of BMA’s initial priorities.

Local 47 is expecting larger crowds this December based on the success and positive feedback from the members who attended last year’s Epcot-inspired extravaganza that featured an around-the-world holiday tour of food, design and entertainment.

While BMA may not be able to bring any snow to its friends in Southern California, the Special Events Team is looking forward to creating an unforgettable evening full of music, rides, and interactive shows and exhibits – including a special visit from Santa himself – to help put everyone in the Christmas spirit.

Turn-key event production from start to finish

The Holiday Family Day event for IBEW Local 47 will require full in-house, pre-production services, including the design of an event logo, food and drink badges, and interactive maps and video screens. Once the proper venue is secured, signing contracts for rides and attractions, bands and/or disc jockeys and catering services will be secured.

The event layout will soon follow to determine the proper locations for custom bars and stages, various food and snack stands and other distinct event features.

Celebrating 30 years of special event production experience in 2023, BMA has learned the most important aspect is to allow every client the opportunity to relax and enjoy their event with their members and invited guests. This is why BMA’s Special Events Team works diligently to take care of every detail from event conception to day-of, on-site management to ensure everything runs smoothly.
