Fresno Area JATC selects BMA Media Group to design their new website

by | Nov 7, 2023

The Fresno Area JATC, the training side for IBEW Local 100, has retained the services of BMA Media Group to build a new, modern website.

BMA Media Group has extensive experience building websites for the various building trades at all levels, which was essential to Fresno JATC.

Training Coordinator Will Torrence wanted to take his JATC’s website into the modern area. After reviewing other union websites BMA has created, such as IBEW Local 613, he felt a partnership with the union agency would be a good fit.

Website capabilities critical to the new Fresno website will include an organized online homework schedule and class calendar for the different registered apprenticeship classes through all five years of the Inside Wireman program and the three years of the Sound and Communication registered apprenticeship program.

Torrence said it is vital for his apprentices to see what assignments are due digitally for each specific class section.

“Usually, during the first class, I would pass out a paper class and homework schedule, which is lost very quickly; the new website will allow our apprentices to have the schedule right in their pockets,” he said.

With the new contract signed in November 2023, construction, image and information gathering and content writing for the new website began promptly.  The new website is scheduled to launch in late spring 2024.

BMA’s Graphics and Web department will rely on their years of experience to once again create an eye-catching yet user-friendly website that hits the mark on the wants and needs of Fresno JATC.

Combined with the knowledge and experience of BMA’s Communications department, responsible for content creation, this new website will not only look good, but it will also grow Fresno JATC’s digital presence with proper Search Engine Optimization (SEO), making it easier for future IBEW apprentices to find Fresno JATC and apply to the program and for end-users to learn more about the program.

Once the new website is launched, BMA and Fresno will shift into the maintenance phase of the contract, where BMA Media’s Graphics and Web team will keep the new website running smoothly with regular security and operational updates, as well as content updates as requested.
