by | Mar 5, 2024

The America’s Work Force Union Podcast celebrated the release of its 1,000th episode since becoming on March 4.

Produced by BMA Media Group, the pro-union program became a podcast in May 2020.

For the host, Ed “Flash: Ferenc, who was a top radio morning show host for over a decade in Cleveland, the 1,000th America’s Work Force Union Podcast episode was a major milestone.

“I am so proud of what the show has become,” said Ferenc. “When I first joined the show over 25 years ago, I could only imagine it becoming what it is today. Thank you to everyone who has tuned in over the years and a very special thank you to our wonderful guests who shared their stories each and every day.”

Tracing its roots back to radio, the program started in 1993 on the airwaves in Northeast Ohio. Originally named America’s Work Force Radio, the daily, union-focused show highlighted the plights of unions, their members, the challenges they faced and how they overcame their obstacles.

Nearly 30 years later, the show transitioned to a podcast to better serve union members throughout the U.S. However, it can still be heard daily on Cleveland radio on WERE 1490 am

Most podcast episodes feature two union-focused guests. With at least 10 weekly guests, AWF featured over 500 guests in 2023. Some of the guests included Local Union business managers, friends of labor and International Union presidents. Each day, the podcast provides these union Brothers and Sisters a safe platform to discuss their issues and share their stories with the nation.

After two years of growth, 2023 was a banner year for the America’s Work Force Union Podcast. Not only did the program celebrate its 30th anniversary, but Ferenc celebrated 25 years as show host.

Now, it has hit another major milestone with its 1000th podcast episode.

America’s Work Force is the nation’s longest-running daily union radio program. Growing beyond Northeastern Ohio, the podcast is listened to by people in all 50 states, nine Canadian provinces and 60 countries.
