Special event for Electrical Workers Minority Caucus up next for BMA/IBEW 613 partnership

by | Aug 1, 2023

With a long history of successful event collaborations between the organizations, the leadership of Atlanta’s IBEW Local 613 has again contracted with BMA Media to produce its latest venture: the 50th Anniversary Welcome Reception for the Electrical Workers Minority Caucus Conference.

Approximately 800 guests are expected to attend the January 2024 special event that Local 613 will host and sponsor as part of the weeklong 34th Annual Leadership Conference of the EWMC, an institution that promotes equity and equal opportunity for minorities and underrepresented workers within the IBEW structure.

Since the EWMC has deep roots in Atlanta, Local 613 and Business Manager Kenny Mullins took it upon themselves to choose a local venue that would provide an iconic setting for such a special occasion. The BMA Events Team has been trusted to create an unforgettable evening for EWMC delegates and invited guests in the beautiful space that the Oceans Ballroom of the Georgia Aquarium has to offer – including a 1 million-gallon tank of beluga whales!

Securing the rental, as well as booking the catering and entertainment that will be provided throughout the evening, are some of the team’s initial priorities.

BMA is looking forward to continuing this partnership with Local 613, which previously included a 100th Anniversary celebration held at the Georgia World Congress Center in October 2019, a Pin Ceremony held at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta in November 2021 and various other events and marketing services in between.

Turn-key event production from start to finish

The 50th Anniversary Welcome Reception hosted by IBEW Local 613 for the EWMC will require full in-house, pre-production services, including the design of an event logo, food stations, raising sponsorships and creating sponsor screens and a commemorative video. BMA will also coordinate transportation to and from the Marriott Marquis, where guests will already be staying for the Conference.

Celebrating 30 years of special event production experience in 2023, BMA has learned the most important aspect is to allow every client the opportunity to relax and enjoy their event with their members and invited guests. This is why BMA’s Special Events Team works diligently to take care of every detail from event conception to day-of, on-site management to ensure everything runs smoothly.
